The task
A new video platform on the Allianz intranet was to replace the previous distribution of videos using ASPECT/QWER via decentralized servers to employees' PCs and laptops. This relieves the increased storage requirements caused by the videos, both on the servers and on the employees' computers. The following requirements were in the foreground:
- Implementation of the video platform in OpenCMS
- Integration with other intranet systems
- Technological compatibility with the Allianz Portanova intranet (JBOSS and AngularJS)
- Overview page with search function and display of the latest videos from the areas of company, sales, marketing and careers
- Integration of web analysis tools to evaluate the views of the videos.

The Iphos development team provided Allianz with a state-of-the-art solution for integrating a video portal into their Portanova intranet:
- Integration of the content management system OpenCMS into the Allianz Portanova intranet
- Structured content video elements for easy handling by editors
- CSS with Twitter Bootstrap
- JSON (REST) interface for quick rendering
- Web analysis with Matomo (formerly PIWIK)

The results
With the new OpenCMS-based video portal for their Portanova Intranet / Extranet, Allianz received a solution that offers editors easy management of video content and a resource-saving and at the same time appealing display for internal users.
Technologically, the solution is future-proof with the use of the AngularJS framework. Through the integration of the web analysis tool Matomo (formerly PIWIK), the video views can be tracked, but the related data warehousing remains solely on the Allianz servers - an optimal solution in terms of data protection law.
