The Company
COPA-DATA GmbH is a manufacturer of software for industrial automation; including HMI/SCADA, Dynamic Production Reporting and integrated PLC systems. Its 215 employees provide local sales and support in the headquarters and worldwide branches.
The task
The company's globally dispersed domains and Exchange services were to be migrated and consolidated into one Windows domain and Exchange installation.
The focal points for the requirements placed on us were:
- The need for old and new domains to coexist for a gradual migration.
- All user data, mailboxes, user documents and critical company data should be transferred to the new domain without disrupting ongoing operations. The migration had to remain invisible to the users.
- Re-implementation of the IT infrastructure for the new main hub of IT services in Salzburg.
