- IBM Thin Provisioning: Applications consume the memory they actually use (not all of the memory allocated to them). With a focus on low business overhead, thin provisioning enables increased efficiency by flexibly distributing disk storage space across multiple users.
- IBM EasyTier Automatically and dynamically moves appropriate data to flash storage so users can enjoy high performance without having to manually create and manage tiering policies.
- IBM Flash Copy function: This technology enables the creation of near-instantaneous copies of active data that can be used for backup purposes. In addition, with the optional remote mirroring function, it is possible to provide copies of data at remote locations for disaster recovery (DR).
